SAVARD, Wayne Henry – January 02, 1948 - December 04, 2010 at his residence with his family by his side after a courageous battle with lung cancer (Mesothelioma) on Saturday, December 4th, 2010. Wayne Savard of Cornwall, a devoted 35 year employee of Valspar in his 62nd year. Beloved husband and best friend of Jocelyn (Naylor) Savard. Cherished father of Shannon Savard (Jeff Cameron) and Gregg Savard (Laurie Smith) both of Cornwall. Loving grandfather and buddy of Dylan Savard. Dear son of the late Lorenzo (Tannis) Savard and the late Leona (King). Dear brother of Larry Savard (Alma) of Westley’s Point and Karen Barbeau (Rick) of Limoges. He will also be greatly missed by his cousins & best friends; Gayle & Reginald Thivierge, Cathy Sabourin, Jean & Paul Larkin and families. Before his illness Wayne was an avid volunteer for Kinsmen Cornwall Lift-Off and the RCAFA Wing 424. A special thanks to Steve McMillan of Bayshore for all his compassionate care and the doctors & nurses of the Ottawa Cancer Centre. A memorial Service will be held in St. John’s Presbyterian Church on Thursday, December 9th, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. The family will be in attendance at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, 28 Second Street East from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. The family cordially invites everyone to attend a Celebration of Wayne’s life at the RCAFA Wing 424 following the service.
