Wayne Dwight Davis Wayne Dwight Davis of Tallahassee died Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Tallahassee Memorial Regional Hospital, where he was born 54 years earlier on November 14, 1955. Wayne was a native of Tallahassee and is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Sandy Davis; two beautiful daughters, Crystal and Amber Davis; his sisters, Hope Colle of Tallahassee, Geannie Davis of Monticello; and his brother, Mickey Davis of Ft. Pierce.Wayne was a loving and devoted father to his daughters and wife and strived to make life for those most precious to him a blessed and loving experience. Wayne was a committed friend to many, a loving and caring husband, father and brother and devoted member of North Florida Baptist Church. As an animal lover, Wayne found great pleasure in raising cows, horses, dogs and cats as well as rescuing, nurturing and loving those animals in need.Wayne was the owner-operator of Britannia Homes for 27 years, originating in Ft. Pierce, Florida, where Wayne lived for several years in the '70s prior to moving back to Tallahassee, where his business flourished. Wayne was a respected member of the building and construction community and will be missed by those in his field.Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Gene Dwight Davis and Evelyn Davis Wilkins. Memorial Services will be held at North Florida Baptist Church on Thursday, November 19th at 2 p.m. EST, followed by a graveside service at Culley's MeadowWood Cemetery on Timberlane Road.
