MERIDEN - Wanda M. Hyatt, 84, passed away peacefully Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, in California, with her family beside her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward T. Hyatt. Wanda was born July 6, 1923 in Meriden and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church and was a devout Catholic with great faith in the Lord. Wanda was a lady who loved people and was always thinking of everyone else. She had a good sense of humor and could laugh at any situation. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. Her courage, strength and determination are an inspiration to all who knew her. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Bill Ling, three grandchildren, Michelle, Ben and Angela, and a grandson-in-law, Jason, all of California; Wanda also leaves numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. "We are all going to miss you so much Mom, but we know that the journey is never over and you are back together with Dad". Wanda and her family would like to extend there thanks to Dr. David Taraskevich and Dr. Gary Tansino and his nurses and staff for the affection, compassion and care given to her for many years. Much gratitude also goes to the MidState Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice who was always there for her. Her family would also like to publicly say thank you to Alice, Ann, Lonnie, Ruth, Dorothy and other neighbors and friends who helped her each day. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 10 a.m. at the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
