Walter Saunders Fleming QUINCY - Walter "Walt" Saunders Fleming, passed away Monday, May 11, 2009, at Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee. Walt was born in Albany, Georgia, to Ruby Aline Hart and James Thomas Fleming Jr. He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, Jacksonville, Fla., and Georgia Tech University, Atlanta, Ga., and was subsequently a Professor of Chemistry and Computer Science at Georgia Tech University.Mr. Fleming has been a resident of the Tallahassee area for the past 20 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and Rotary Club of Quincy. Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Fleming of Quincy; sons, Joseph T. Fleming, Robert D. Woodward IV and Mayo M. Woodward; AND daughters, Carole F. Holland and Katherine L. Woodward.Visitation will be at the Fleming home, 220 Alba Ave., Quincy, from 6 to 8 p.m. EDT Thursday, May 14. A memorial service will be at 1p.m. EDT Friday, May 15, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Quincy.
