Wade M. Smith BLOUNTSTOWN - Wade M. Smith, 73, who was the owner and operator of a service station for 26 years, died Thursday, March 10, 2005, in Panama City. He is survived by his wife, Faye Smith. The service will be at 1 a.m. CST Saturday at the chapel of Peavy Funeral Home (850-674-2266) in Blountstown, with burial at Nettle Ridge Cemetery.Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. CST today at the funeral home. Mr. Smith was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. He also was a lumber manager for a hardware store for 22 years. Other include survivors a son, Gregory Wade Smith of Gainesville; a daughter, Traci Smith Hall (and husband Jim) of Blountstown; a brother, John A. Smith of Pensacola; a sister, Hilma Barbee of Blountstown; and three grandchildren, Brody and Reagan Hall, both of Blountstown; and Chris Hall of Tallahassee.
