Wade J. Smith, 55, died July 25, 2010, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach. He was born in Buffalo, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach for 40 years, coming from Haines City. He worked in the construction business as a finish carpenter. He was a member of the Eagles and American Legion of Vero Beach. Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Smith; daughters, Jessica Smith of Vero Beach and Erin Goranson of Apopka; mother and stepfather, Audrey and Herbert Childs of Wauchula; sister, Leslie Lambert of Wauchula; and one grandchild.
