Wade Benson Smith, 78, husband of Maude Hopkins Smith of 115 Crookedcreek Road, died Nov. 23, 2002, at Anderson Area Medical Center. He was a son of the late Walker and Lenora Wald Smith. Retired: J.P. Stevens Co. Veteran: World War II. Survivors: Sons, William B. Smith, Thomas H. Smith and Jimmy R. Smith, all of Walhalla, James W. Smith of Seneca; daughter, Bobbie A. Barnes of Seneca; 13 grandchildren, 16 great- and two great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased: Son, Wade B. Smith Jr. and sister, Bertha Roach. Visitation: 7 to 9 tonight at Davenport Funeral Home. Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel. Burial: Neville Cemetery.
