MILLER, MR. WORTH RICHARD - age 91, of Kodak, TN, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Kindred Healthcare and Rehab in Corydon, IN. Mr. Miller was born August 12, 1923, in Wilkes County to John Revere and Ethel Huffman Miller. He was a World War II Veteran-U.S. Army and Former POW, Member of 5th Army-45th Thunder Bird Division 157th Infantry. He retired in 1977 from Frigidaire in Dayton Ohio. Mr. Miller was an avid hunter and NASCAR fan. He was a member of Brazelton Lodge 190 F&AM in Dandridge TN, Scottish Rite, Knoxville TN and Smokey Mountain Motor Vehicle Clubs. He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife of 65 years, Pansy Byrd Miller and five brothers Ander, Clifton, Arville, James and Paul Miller. He is survived by; a son, Mike and wife Carla of Marengo, IN; sisters, Grace Nye of Wilkesboro and Sarah Jane Parlier of Morganton; brothers, Ray Miller of West Jefferson and Arnold Miller of Millers Creek; seven nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 24, 2014, 11:00 AM at Bethany Baptist Church on Bethany Ford Road with Rev. Brian Miller officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in the church cemetery with honors by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 23rd, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Reins Sturdivant Funeral home.
