WILLIAMS, WINNIE VICKERS, 87, died peacefully October 23rd after a long struggle with heart disease. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Martin Vickers and Mary Claybrook Vickers; her beloved husband, Sam Jones Williams Jr.; and sister, Melba Louthan, to whom she was especially close. After the untimely death of her beloved husband, she devoted her life to raising and educating her two children who were the delight of her youth and a great comfort in her declining years. Her family was the most important thing in her life. In 1987 she moved from Neptune Beach to Orlando to be near her daughter and grandson. Having helped to raise and educate her grandson, they enjoyed a close relationship throughout her life. She is survived by her daughter, Priscilla Williams Rankin; a son, Dr. Sam Jones Williams III and daughter-in- law, Joann Keet Williams and grandson, Ryan J. Williams Rankin; as well as many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at H. Warren Smith Cemetery in Jacksonville Beach, FL, on Monday, October 27th at 1PM. Rev.
