Wilma-Lee-Carder Henry, born in 1923, spouse of Eddie-M. Henry, daughter of George and Pearl-Crowe, mother of Eddie Henry, Bradley and Gary, died on July 10, 2014 at 91 years old.
HENRY, WILMA LEE CARDER - 91, Johnson City, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Johnson City Medical Center, with her family at her side. A native of Johnson City, she was the daughter of the late George Washington and Pearl Crowe Carder. Mrs. Henry was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church, Johnson City. She was an avid Tennessee fan and traveled many years supporting them. Mrs. Henry was a loving wife, mother, and "Granny". She enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Henry is predeceased by her husband, Eddie M. Henry, Jr.; a sister, Gertrude "Red" Moates; and three brothers, Robert Carder, Guy Carder and Roy Carder. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Eddie Henry III and wife Marty, Bradley Henry and wife Deb, and Gary Henry and wife Janet; grandchildren, Gayla Henry, Chad Henry, Joshua Henry, Martin Henry, Ashley Elizabeth Henry, Ashlee Cheyenne Henry, Lauren Henry, Kendall Henry, Shelley Branche, Tina Rice and Brad Young; great grandchildren, Bolton Estes, Carder Estes, Harley Branche, Peyton Rice, Bailey Young, Cameron Young and Lance Estep; a sister, Dorothy Self; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Broadmore Assisted Living & Memory Care and the nurses and staff in the Critical Care Unit at Johnson City Medical Center and ETSU Family Medicine Associates for the care given to Mrs. Henry. The family requests your presence to honor Mrs. Henry's life at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Tetrick Funeral & Cremation Services, Johnson City with Rev. Louis Imsande officiating. The family will greet guests to share memories from 5:00 p.m. until the service hour. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Monte Vista Memorial Park, Johnson City. Those who wish to follow in procession are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Pallbearers will be Chad Henry, Martin Henry, Ashlee Cheyenne Henry, Tommy Moates, James Moates, Jimmy Moates and Gary Arner.
