Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Missionary Baptist Church with the Reverend Moderator J.B. Duval officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Hickory Hill Cemetery, Monticello.Viewing-visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF MONTICELLO 850-997-5553. A very detailed, highly-disciplined and organized gentleman, Sgt. Johnson was assigned to the 4th Attack Helicopter Battalion, 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized). He was on active duty status 12 years before being medically discharged for a service-related illness.He was also a talented artist and an advocate for justice. Mourning Sgt. Johnson's sudden passing are his mother, Claretha Smith; brother, Alphonso Johnson; sisters, Mary Ann Johnson, Ester Hamm and Karlesa (Calvin) Parrish; a beloved nephew, Derrick Johnson; a devoted niece, Felicia Johnson and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Sgt. Johnson was predeceased by his father, Earlie Johnson and a sister, Earlene Johnson.
