WILLIAM RICHARD LEE of Mulberry, Fla.William Richard Lee, 83, of Mulberry, Fla., passed away peacefully at his home in Port Crane, N.Y., on Sunday, June 17, 2001. He was the son of the late William and Catherine (Gerber) Lee. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marie (Horrigan) Lee; one sister, Catherine Thorn; three brothers, Robert, Carl and Corneilus Lee. William is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years, Gladys Irene Lee; and his loving children and their spouses, David and Susan Lee, Susquehanna, Pa., John and Cassandra Lee, Kingston, Ga., Timothy and Theresa Lee, Blakesly, Pa., John and Jill Andrews, Apalachin, Rene and William Johnson, Ocala, Fla.; nine grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and sisters-in-law. He was a graduate of the Thompson High School class of 1936. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during WWII. William was a member of the St. John Newman Church and its choir of Mulberry, Fla., VFW Post 08400, American Legion, and Loyal Order of the Moose. He was retired from the Plumber & Pipe Fitting Local Union #112. He enjoyed golfing and gardening and will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 21, at 9:30 a.m. at the Hennessey's Funeral Home, 208 Jackson Ave., and 10 a.m. at the St. John's Church in Susquehanna where a mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Rev. Charles Connor. Burial will be in the Vestal Hills Memorial Park in Vestal, N.Y. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 p.m.
