Obituary of William-McKinley Jordan


William M. Jordan of Chestnut Ridge, NY formerly of Mt. Kisco, passed away on January 12, 2008, he was 86. Mr. Jordan was as an Administrator for the National Conference of Christians and Jews in New York City, NY, previous to that he was Director for the Boys Clubs of America. Mr. Jordan was born on April 21, 1921 in St. Petersburg, Florida to William McKinley and Fannie Mae Mancker Jordan. He graduated from Asbury Park High School and was a graduate of Syracuse University. Upon graduation he served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, and he also served in the Army Air Force from 1944 to 1946. He was married to Dorothy Chambers of Lexington, VA. The couple was later divorced. Mr. Jordan is survived by their children, Cheryl Jordan of Chestnut Ridge, NY, Avrile Camberlain of Cortlandt Manor, NY and Bruce McKinley Jordan of Lusby, MD and a granddaughter Ingrid Jordan Nkongho and her husband Drew. Also survived by his companion Emily Styckynski. Visitation is Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the JOSEPH F. NARDONE FUNERAL HOME, Peekskill, NY. The Funeral Service is Friday, 9:00 am at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY. JOSEPH F.
