HENDERSON, WANDA JANE NELSON - born June 21, 1940, passed away May 8, 2014 at her home at the age of 73. She was a longtime member of Valley View United Methodist Church. She was the lunchroom manager at Claxton Elementary for many years and was a consultant at Home Interiors and Gifts for 20 years where she was the queen of her unit for 11 years. Wanda graduated from Clinton High School in 1958. Preceded in death by her father, William Wayne Nelson; mother, Eva Jane Conner Nelson; daughter, Eva Mae Henderson; father of her children, Larry Henderson. She is survived by her daughters, Robin Banks and husband Doug, Stacie Lunsford and husband Lawrence; sister, Pauline Franse and husband Ralph; brothers, Wayne Nelson, Gerald Nelson and wife Sandra; grandchildren, Heather, Trista, and Edward; great grandchildren, Sydnei Mae-Kaylah, Baylei, Memphis, and Joslynn; several nieces and nephews; special and beloved friends, Jeanette Stutts, Gloria Glandon, and Hylda Faye Glandon. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm, Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. Friends and family will meet at 2:30 pm, Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home and go in procession to Valley View United Methodist Church for a 3:00 pm, funeral service officiated by Rev. Paige Wimberly. Her graveside will follow at the church cemetery.
