HAMBLETON, W.Va. - Vivian Juanita (Williams) Vachon, 87, a resident of Hambleton, W.Va., departed this life Thursday morning, March 24, 2005 at her home. She had been in declining health and death was attributed to Alzheimer's.She was born June 4, 1917, Benbush, W.Va., a daughter of the late John and Anna (Auvil) Williams. On June 9, 1940, in Thomas, W.Va., she married Wilferd B. Vachon, Sr. They had celebrated 64 years of marriage. Both were longtime residents of Brunswick.Surviving are her husband; a son, Dr. Wilferd B. Vachon Jr. and his wife Ulrike Vachon-Frisch of Orr's Island; a daughter, Dr. Linda A. Vachon, her husband, Dr. Clifford Marshall, and a grandson, Andrew Marshall all of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Mary A. Helm, Elpha Tewell; and a brother-in-law, James Tewell, all of Elkins, W.Va.She was predeceased by four brothers, Dayton, Raymond, Theadore, and Ronald Williams; and four sisters, Jessie Watson, Effie Kight, Freda Bible and Lula Goff.She graduated from Parsons High School Class of 1935. She was a candy striper. A homemaker and loving wife and mother, she loved to dance and sing.The family received friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, W. Va., on Tuesday, March 29. On March 30, funeral services were held at the Hambleton United Methodist Church, Hambleton, W.Va. The Rev. John Morrison officiated. Interment followed at St. George Cemetery, St. George, W.Va.
