WOOD , Virginia (Ginny) September 5, 1948 - March 2, 2009 Ginny passed away peacefully at the Agape Manor on March 2, 2009. She leaves to miss and remember her always, her loving husband and best friend in life, Peter, and their three sons of whom she was as proud as any mother could be: Joshua (Michelle), Daniel (Jennifer) and Samuel (Charlotte). Ginny was equally proud of granddaughters Alexandra (Joshua), Regan (Daniel and Jennifer) and grandson Aidan (Sam and Charlotte). Ginny's brother Tim (Ros) of Ireland has been here in Calgary to be with his sister and has fond and loving memories of their childhood years. Ginny was predeceased by her mother and father, Cynthia and David Stampton. Ginny's friends who live in all corners of the globe will remember her friendship, hospitality, warmth and absolute wizardry in the kitchen and her colleagues in the book publishing industry will remember her professionalism and dedication to the idea that reading is good for the soul as well as the mind. A celebration of the charm, warmth and joyful life of this most remarkable and loving person will be held at Christ Church, 3602 - 8 Street S.W., in Calgary, today, Friday, March 6, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Colorectal Cancer Association in Toronto at No. 204, 60 St. Clair Avenue, M4T 1N5.
