April 14, 2007 Virginia "Ginny" Wescott Bennett, 74, passed away Saturday at Francis House with her daughter, family and friends by her side. Born in Henderson, NY, she spent over 45 years living in Minoa, NY, moving to Liverpool five years ago. She retired from New Process Gear in 1998. She spent her time fishing, gambling and with her loving grandchildren. Surviving are her daughter, Anna (Anthony) Gorgoni of Liverpool; son, Edward (Barb) Bennett of South Carolina; sister, Shirley McKenna of East Syracuse; brother, Joe Wescott of Albany; five granddaughters, LeAnna, Nicole, Kayli, Carina and Danni. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday from Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners and 11 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church, 229 West Yates St., East Syracuse. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 3541 Rte. 31, Baldwinsville. Burial will be at a later date in St. Mary's Cemetery, Minoa.
