Virginia Wages Thomas, 85, of Winder, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010. A daughter of the late C.O. and Audrey Hendrix Wages, she was married to the late Gifton Thomas and was preceded in death by son, Larry Thomas, and brother, Levene Wages. She was a member of Winder First Baptist Church and co-owner of Thomas Wholesale. Survivors are daughter, Mary Ann Floyd of Statham; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Eloise Hendrix of Winder. Services will be Saturday, Jan.16, at 11 a.m. in Smith Memory Chapel with interment in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Smith Funeral Home has charge of the service.
