HOOD, Virginia Virginia Fruit Hood, age 91, of Tucker, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel at 3:00 pm, with Rev. James W. Hood officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge. Mrs. Hood was a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by: children; Betty, Frank Jr., Wendy, Billy, Jerry and Jimmy, 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Frank Hood and parents Charles W. & Winnie Fruit. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 29, 2014, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
