VIRGINIA SUE (MCVOY) JOHNSON 1924 - 2010 Virginia Sue (McVoy) Johnson, 85, of Pensacola, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010. Mrs. Johnson was born in Pensacola, FL on August 23, 1924 to Lillian (Roche) and Joseph McVoy. She was a registered nurse and after her marriage to Phillip Thomas Johnson, she became a homemaker raising their son. Her husband, Phillip Thomas Johnson, Sr.; her parents; two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. Survivors include her son, Tom Johnson (Carrie); two grandchildren, Nathan and Erin Johnson; sister, Lillian Johnson (CAPT Gerald Johnson); brother, Tommy McVoy (Barbara); and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00pm Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Friday, May 14, 2010 at St. Paul Catholic Church, with Fr. Doug Halsema, celebrant. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
