LEWIS, VIRGINIA SIMPSON, 90 Gainesville - Mrs. Virginia Simpson Lewis, age 90, died Friday at Bradford Terrace a native of Huntingdon, PA, she moved to Gainesville, FL. in 1951 where she was Administrative Assistant in Mental Health at the University of Florida Infirmary. She was a graduate of Huntingdon High School, She became a Life Guard at age 15. She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years, was a member of the AGH Auxiliary for 20 years. President of her Sunday School Class at First Presbyterian Church, where she loved to crochet baby afghans for charity. She was also a member of the Ladies Circle # 7 of First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her daughters and their husbands: Barbara L. Lindsey (Fletcher) and Susan L. Holloway (Bill) both of Gainesville, FL. her brother, James Phillip Simpson of Holidays, PA. two grand children, Tracy Holloway Berezoski (John) and William Michael Lindsey (Nancy), Great Grandchildren, Katina Nicol Black, Zachary James Black, Taylor Fletcher Lindsey, Valarie Kathryn Berezoski, Isabelle Alexis Berezoski, Numerous Nieces & Nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Franklin E., Donald G. and George Robert Simpson, Sisters, Helen Megahan & Joanne Mieinik and Grandchildren, Valarie Holloway McClung and David Fletcher Lindsey. Funeral Services will be held at Forest Meadows Central Cemetery, 4100 N.W. 39th Ave. on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at 2:00 PM under the care of MILAM FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, 311 S. Main St., Gainesville, FL. 352-376-5361.
