ObituaryVIRGINIA ROSE "GINNY" LAKOMY BENNETTVirginia Rose "Ginny" Lakomy Bennett, 50, of 31 Comfort Rd., died Sunday, May 16, 2004, at the Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca. She was born in Clinton, CT, daughter of Lewis Lakomy and the late Betty Schoffner-Lakomy.Ginny was a graduate of Odessa-Montour High School and had been associated with Southshore-Stanton Automatics for many years. She was a great collector and home museum curator and most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.In addition to her father living in Rochester, Ginny is survived by her beloved husband and daughter, Gary and Heidi Lynn Bennett. Loving family; brothers, Walter (Amy) Lakomy of Burdett, and James (Vickie) Fergus of Greene; nieces and nephews, Lindsay and Cody Lakomy, DJ and Jamie Fergus, Andrew and Matthew Schadewald; uncle and aunt, Francis and Cynthia Schoffner of Burdett; stepson, Gary (Meghan) Bennett, Jr.; and step-grandchildren, Kaylee and Cameron Bennett and Marie Cusanelli.Funeral services will be celebrated by Rev. Wilfred Baez on Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at 1 p.m. at Bangs Funeral Home. Friends may call from 11 to 1 p.m., prior to the service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
