FOLEY Virginia Moon Wood, age 93, of Foley, formerly of Tuscaloosa, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013. Mrs. Wood was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa for over 60 years and was a current member of the Foley First Baptist Church. She retired from the University of Alabama Supply Store. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Wood Jr.; parents, Walter M. and Eugenia Moon; and her sister, Edna Ruth Givens. She is survived by two sons, James W. (Jerrie) Wood of Foley and Robert L. (Brenda) Wood of Alpharetta, Ga.; four grandchildren, Jonathan Wood (Megan), Damon Wood (Whitney), Amy Gebhart (Jason), and Adam Wood; and four great-grandchildren, Dylan, Lauren, Avery, and Connor. Services were held 3 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Mack Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shane Latta officiating and music by Rev. David Clevenger. Graveside services and burial will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2013, at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideons International, P.O. Box 1582, Foley, AL 36535.
