Obituary of Virginia Mitchell

Virginia A. Mitchell, age 81, of 150 Downs Blvd., Apt B-112, formerly of Westminster, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at Oconee Memorial Hospital.Born in Atlanta, Ga., on November 25, 1922, she was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Seneca. She is survived by her husband, Edwin Thomas Mitchell, of the home; sons, Thomas M. Mitchell, of Rockledge, Fla., Scott E. Mitchell of Bakersfield, Calif., and Reid H. Mitchell, of New Orleans, La.; daughter, Meredith M. Clapper, of Cullowhee, N.C.; brother, James T. Adams, of Villa Rica, Ga.; sister, Marianna Smith, of Gainesville, Fla.; and four grandchildren. Her parents, Virgil Emory and Louise Payne Adams, and brother, Virgil E. Adams, preceded her in death.A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2004, in the chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home in Westminster, with the Rev.
