MARTINEZ Virginia Maxine Martinez, 71, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 18, 2005. Born February 2, 1934 in Corinth, MS to Thomas & Eunice Richardson, Virginia was of the Baptist faith. A big Nascar fan, she loved the beach and enjoyed flowers, especially in the spring & summer. Full of life, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother & friend and she loved to take care of her family. Preceded in death by her son, David Glenn Martinez, she is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Robert S. Martinez, Sr.; sons, Robert Martinez, Jr. (Cindi), Stephen Martinez & Jeffrie Martinez (Chrissy); daughters, Virginia Elaine Caudill (Gary) & Rhonda Tingle (George); brother, William Richardson (Florrie); sister, Lola Fay Arnold; 16 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and numerous family & friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, April 22, 2005 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 5753 Blanding Blvd. Interment in Jacksonville Memory Gardens will follow. Family will rec eive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
