Mrs. Virginia Mae Haynes of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away May 17, 2003, at the age of 91 years.She was born Dec. 21, 1912, in Florence to John Henry and Mattie Young. She had five brothers and two sisters. She was an active member of Windsor Park Church of Christ and was loved and will be missed by all those who knew her. She was retired from J.C. Penney Co.Mrs. Haynes is survived by her daughter, Peggy Singleterry Collavo and husband, Maynard, Corpus Christi; a brother, Frederick Eugene Young, Florence; a sister, Jessie Hagan Wilcoxson, Henderson, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Michael Lynn Singleterry and wife, Debbie, Corpus Christi, Gregory Allen Singleterry, Lakeland, Fla., Lisa Jane Perkins, and Jessie Dain Singleterry and wife, Mona, Corpus Christi; five great-grandchildren, Shera Virginia Singleterry Ochoa and husband, Jerry, Corpus Christi, Dutch Allen Singleterry and wife, Jodelle, Corpus Christi, Marshall William Perkins and wife, Barbara, Pordenone, Italy, Michelle Jean Hall and husband, Justin, Gatesville, Texas, and Matthew Allen Perkins and wife, Trisha, Diamond, Mo., who have given her two great-great-grandchildren, Bryson and Brennea Perkins.Funeral services were Tuesday at Seaside Funeral Home, Corpus Christi. The graveside service will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Florence City Cemetery, with Cory Collins officiating. The family will receive friends Friday at Elkins Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Elkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.Pallbearers will be Mike, Dutch, Jeff and Greg Singleterry, Bobby Robinson and Maynard Collavo.Memorials may be made to Windsor Park Church of Christ, 442 S.
