She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Duke, Sr.; grandson, Jason Lee Duke; her mother and father, Mary and Slayton Perry; brothers, John Perry and George "Pete" Perry, and sister, Mary Ann Hall.Survived by sons, Billy Duke, Jr. (Dixie) and Charles Duke (Diane); grandchildren, Billy "B.J." Duke III (Amy), Buford Duke (Caitlin), Pamela Duke Gregory (Justin) and Debra Duke White (Matthew) and 7 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; brothers, Horace Perry (Laura), Thomas "Sonny Boy" Perry (June), Buford Perry (Lydia); sister, Ethel Krantz (Jason); and many wonderful nieces and nephews.Virginia attended Concord Missionary Baptist Church and she was a 25+ year member of Madison-East Nashville Chapter #1 Order of the Eastern Star. She worked in the Metro Schools Food Service for 28 years, retiring March of 1999.The family would like to thank the staff of Clare Bridge Goodlettsville for the wonderful care and love each of you shared with Virginia and the family during her stay with you.Visitation will be held at Austin & Bell Funeral Home, White House, Saturday, June 21st from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., with Eastern Star service at 7 p.m.Funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Morris Watson of Concord Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday, June 22nd at 1:30 p.m., at Austin & Bell Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens, with Buford Perry, Jr., John Perry, Dick Keen and Dwight Crowder, Buford Duke and Bobby Dean Perry serving as Pallbearers.
