Virginia-Lee Jones, born in 1922, spouse of Edward-T. Jones, mother of Diane, Clyde, Mary, Rick, Fla, S. C and Edward, died on April 9, 2003 at 81 years old.
Virginia Lee Jones, 81, died April 9, 2003, in Greenville, S.C. while visiting her son. Mrs. Jones was born in Salerno, Fla., and moved to Fort Pierce, Fla., 60 years ago from Salerno, Fla. She was a homemaker and for the past 10 years had worked at Sabal Palm Publix in the deli and was also a demonstrator. She was a member of Community United Methodist Church, Fort Pierce. Surviviors include her son, Edward Jones of Greenville, S.C.; daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Clyde Russell and Mary and Rick Workman, all of Fort Pierce, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward T. Jones, originally from Yemassee, S.C. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church, Hendersonville, S.C., which is located on Hwy 17A South from Walterboro, S.C. The Rev. Jack Bailey will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alvin L. Wilson Chapter 1 of the Disabled American Veterans, 4 Lermann Dr., Greenville, SC 29605.
