Virginia Lee Davis, 79, Port Charlotte and formerly of Clinton, Ind., died Sept. 8, 2002. She was born Aug. 31, 1923, in Clinton, Ind. She had wintered in Charlotte County since 1988 and had lived in Port Charlotte the past two years full time. She was a lab technician for Alcan Aluminum Products in Terre Haute, Ind., before her retirement. She was a member of the Vermillion Country Club, American Legion Auxiliary Post 140, and the Moose Lodge, all in Clinton, Ind. Survivors include daughter Nancy Kowinski of Indianapolis; a brother, Terry Stewart of Indianapolis; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and companion Tony Vitale of Boston. Visitation and services will be held at Frist Funeral Home in Clinton, Ind., followed by burial in Roselawn Memorial Park.
