Mrs. Virginia Lee Morris, age 80, of Florence, passed away at her home Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005.The graveside funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Kenneth Davis will officiate. The family will visit with friends after the service. Elkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.Mrs. Morris was a longtime member of Wood Avenue Church of Christ and was preceded in death in 1998 by her husband, James C. "Shorty" Morris. She enjoyed painting and was a locally recognized artist.She is survived by a son, James B. "Jim" Morris, Florence; grandchildren, Shane Morris, Nashville, Tenn., and Brittany Morris, of Stapleton, Ala.; sister, Jean Ludwig and husband, Chris, Kansasville, Wis.; a number of nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be James Senn, Harold Fulks, Arvel Miles, Jim Evans, Bert Jones and Jack Masterson.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library.
