She was preceded in death in 1977 by her husband Dr. Guy R. Jones, DVM.The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 13 at Bevis Funeral Home in Tallahassee (850/385-2193 or www.bevisfh.com). The service will follow at 2:00 PM, with the Rev. Dean Inserra officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Tallahassee. A native of Wadesboro, North Carolina, Mrs. Jones moved to Tallahassee with her family in 1963.She was retired from the Leon County School System, where she was a member of the office staff at Elizabeth Cobb Middle School and later Amos Godby High School. She also spent 14 years with The Allen Group, a property management company. Mrs. Jones was a member of Forest Heights Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Mike Jones (Ruth) of Denver; three daughters, Linda J. Brooks (Nicholas) and Barbara Ann Jones (Derek Fears), both of Tallahassee and Ginny Squires (Jerry) of Jamestown, KY; and her sister, Shirley Bowers of Wadesboro, NC. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Randy Petron, Richard Petron, Robert Petron, Guy Jones, Call Perkins and Page Perkins; five great-grandchildren, Randy Petron, III, Jaylin Petron, Lyli Petron, Richard Petron and Braxton Jones; as well as two grand dogs, Solo and Zippo.
