ObituaryVirginia Davis, 86, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away January 8, 2009 at Shady Rest nursing home. Virginia was born in Pike County, Indiana on March 31, 1923 and moved to Fort Myers with her husband and three sons in 1956.Virginia is survived by her husband, Darwin Davis of Fort Myers, three sons, Ronald Earl (Lehigh Acres, FL), James Allen (Lynn Haven, FL), Wesley Scott (Punta Gorda, FL), five of her 8 siblings Clarence Corn (Tucson, AZ), Richard Corn (St. Joseph, IL), Maude Hastings (Marshall, IL) Norma Carrier (Evansville, IN), LeEtta Beauchamp (Brighten, TN), eight grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.Virginia served for 2 years in the United States Navy during WWII and worked as a secretary for Riverside Baptist Church for 22 years. Virginia's greatest loves were her God and her family. There will be a viewing at Lee Memorial Park in Fort Myers on Tuesday, January 13th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A service will follow immediately at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Building Fund of Riverside Baptist Church.
