Virginia Hill Davis, 88, of 641 Thompson Mill Road, formerly of Greenville, widow of Robert Calvin Davis, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at her home.Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Jesse Chastain Hill. She was an Independent Baptist and a homemaker.She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Wilson of Braselton, Ga.; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert Glenn "Pop" and Phyllis Davis of Piedmont; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by two daughters, Martha Davis and Jackie Inmon; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2010 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at the Bessie Road Baptist Church in Piedmont with the Rev. Robert Griswold and the Rev. William Swink officiating. She will be laid to rest at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
