Virginia Grace Davis, 92, of Royalton, Illinois passed away at 1:02 p.m., Monday, December 27, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. Grace was born November 24, 1918 in Shelbyville to James Ted and Clara Cordillia (Buckley) Maxedon. She married William Henry "Bill" Davis August 10, 1935 in Royalton. He preceded her in death October 5, 2005. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Clara Yvonne and Harry H. Brock of Royalton; three grandchildren, Matthew Brock of Tuscon, AZ, William Bradley Brock and his wife, Bonita of Marble Hill, MO and Debbie Brock Faling of Christopher; eight great grandchildren, Jessica and Matthew Brock of Tucson, Margaret Ann Brock, Amanda Brock Wittenborn and Lisa Brock all of Marble Hill, MO and Julie Russell and her husband, Ronnie of Germany, Christie and Richie Faling all of Christopher and six great great grandchildren, Jazmin, Alizabeth, Jordan, Matthew III, August and Logan and a sister-in-law, Frieda Maxedon of Mt. Vernon. A sister, Helen E. Greenwood, two brothers Bill and Ted Donald Maxedon also preceded her in death. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Church of Christ in Royalton and a homemaker. Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Vantrease Funeral Home in Zeigler with Harry H. and Brad Brock officiating. Entombment will be at Mulkeytown Cemetery. Visiting hours are from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home.
