DAWSON, VIRGINIA D., 80, passed away at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital Sunday, March 28, 2010. She was born in Bullitt County, KY to Owen and Cora (Southern) DeMarsh. She was a homemaker and a member of Beechland Baptist Church. She was a longtime volunteer at Southwest Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandchild; two brothers and four sisters. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Earl T. Dawson Sr.; her children, Allene Reichert, Barbara Keabler, Mary Basham (Danny) and Earl Dawson Jr. (Lucy); six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Betty Hoover & Marilyn McNutt. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday.
