LOUDONVILLE Virginia C. McCormack, 91, of Loudonville, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2004 at the Guilderland Center Nursing Home. She was born in Mechanicville and was the daughter of the late Lloyd E. and Rose Angela McGowan Young. Virginia and her late husband John were formerly active in the Polish American Club, the Eagles Club, Albany Elks and the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Additionally, Virginia and John were longtime supporters and volunteers with the Albany Metro Mallers football team. She was a longtime devoted communicant of St. Francis deSales Church. She was predeceased in 1993 by her beloved husband of 61 years, John A. McCormack. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Virginia Shelly and Dianne McCormack. She is the sister of Muriel Gryboski of Troy and the late Shirley Fake, Wanda Gimondo and Lloyd E. Young Jr. She is the cherished grandmother of Colleen Woerner, Timothy (Pamela) Shelly and Heather (Digaunto) Chatterjee. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews; her lifelong dear friends, Cora Bardon and Angeline Scherer. Funeral services will be Monday morning at 8:15 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 1550-south of Central Ave.) then to St. Francis deSales Church, Maria Drive at 9:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden.
