MITCHELL, VIRGINIA BALLARD, 77, of Louisville, died Sunday at her residence. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Cahoe. She is survived by her longtime companion, Joseph M. Moore; two daughters, Darlene Harris and Barbara Coslow; sons, Richard C. Jr., Robert B., Mark S., Michael T. and David A. Mitchell; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Arch L. Heady & Son, 1201 E. Oak St., with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. both Tuesday and Wednesday at the funeral home.
