Obituary of Virginia-B. Clark


Virginia B. Clark Utica Virginia B. Clark, 95, of Utica, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2011. Virginia was born in Port Leyden, NY, on July 6, 1915, a daughter of Fred C. and Florence (VanAernam) Bradt. She was raised and educated in the Utica area. In Utica, in 1933, Virginia married Thomas F. Clark, Jr. Mr. Clark passed away in 1969. For 10 years, she was employed with General Millwork in North Utica. Virginia was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Utica, until its closing and a current member of the Church of the Sacred Heart and St. Mary Our Lady of Czestochowa, New York Mills. She was also a member of the St. Elizabeth's Guild, the Highlander Seniors and the Mothers Club. Virginia's love of books and reading was an enduring quality that she possessed. Virginia is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas F. and Loretta Clark, III, Minowa, NY, Michael F. and Joanna Clark, Utica, and Daniel B. and Sue Clark, FL; 10 grandchildren, Cindy (Patrick) Jennings, Natalie (Sal) Catalano, Sheila Clark, Douglas Clark, Lisa Gibson, Kristen (Anthony) Vennero, Michael Clark, Stephen (Barb) Clark, Cristi Clark and Bryan Clark; a niece, Elinor Johns, AL; and a nephew, Richard Bradt, MD. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Virginia was predeceased by three brothers, Richard W. Bradt, Robert V. Bradt and Rial A Bradt, and a sister, Eleanor Ferris. Mrs. Clark's funeral will be held on Friday, February 18, 2011, at 11:00 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. A private burial will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery, Utica. The family will be greeting friends prior to and at the conclusion of the service. Please omit flowers.
