MORRISON, Violet 1932 - 2012North Sydney/OttawaLondon, EnglandIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Violet Doris Morrison, age 79, on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 in North Sydney, N.S. Violet, a native of London, England was a long-time employee with the Canadian Coast Guard in Ottawa, Ontario. She moved to North Sydney with her late husband after his retirement from Canada Post. Violet is survived by her daughter Dr. Christine Birchansky (Richard), Fairfax Station, Virginia, U.S., her step- children James (Alice) Orpen, Belleville, ON., Mary-Rose Morrison, Montreal, PQ., Suzanne (Tom) Perrenoud, Austin, Texas. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. Also surviving are her extended family members of her late husband William Morrison. Violet was predeceased by her beloved husband William Morrison and her four older siblings. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service for Violet will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney, NS. Memorial donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association or a charity of choice.
