Obituary of Violet-Chapman Carter

CARTER Violet Chapman Carter, 68, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 24, 2005 at 3:19 AM at her residence. Beloved wife of James Earl Carter, mother of James A. Carter, John R. Carter, William F. Carter, Peggy C. Trigo and Amy Sue C. Edwards. Daughter of the late John M. Chapman and Bertha McDowell Chapman. Also survived by 6 brothers, 1 sister, 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Carter was a retired day care worker at First Baptist Church of Kenner, LA after 25 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Kenner. Violet was a native of Jacksonville, FL and a resident of Kenner, LA for 38 years. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2005, 11:00 AM at JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL with Rev. Robert Trigo officiating.
