Funeral services for Mrs. Violet Bailey age 89 will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the Jackson Creek Community of Christ Church with Bro. Dick Cochran officiating. Burial will be in Bailey's Cemetery. Mrs. Bailey died Thursday night at Chester County Health Care. She was born in Chester County daughter of the late G.W. and Alice Williams Ridley. She attended school in Chester County and was married to C. B. Bailey in 1927. Mr. Bailey died in 1985. She was later married to Herschel Holmes in 1999 he died in 2002. Mrs. Bailey owned with her husband C.B. Bailey Bailey's Store in the Jacks Creek area of Chester County for 25 years. She also sold Stanley Products for many years. She was a member of the Jacks Creek Ruritan Club and a member of the Jacks Creek Community of Christ Church. She is survived by three daughters Earlene Jones Jo Ann Jones and Kathy Mays all of Jacks Creek; one son Mr. Laverne Bailey of Savannah Tennessee; two sisters Ruth Middleton and Geneva Perry both of Jacks Creek and a brother Mr. Curtis Ridley of Gallatin Tennessee. A son Howard Bailey predeceased Mrs. Bailey in 2000. She leaves fourteen grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. Leon Johnson Funeral Home 731-989-2624
