MISNER, Violet (nee Anderson, Pedersen) 1916 - 2006 Violet Misner, beloved wife of Glenn, passed away peacefully at the age of 89 years on Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at the Rockyview Hospital after a brief illness. Violet was born in Calgary on February 14, 1916 to Enoch and Karolina Anderson. She grew up on the family farm near Conrich where she met and married Lanly Pedersen. They had one son, Leonard. After Lanly passed away, Violet moved to Calgary in 1962. There she met Glenn and they were married in 1967. She was a loving wife and parent who enjoyed many activities with her family and friends. Always smiling and ready to laugh, she enjoyed entertaining them. She loved music, dancing, sewing and baking. In her leisure time she created many beautiful needle point pictures. Violet is survived by Glenn, her loving and devoted husband of thirty-eight years; granddaughters, Lorna and Nancy Pedersen, who were very special to her; sisters, Alice Ham and Pearl Mortensen; as well as many nieces, nephews and a much beloved extended family. She is also remembered by Glenn's family including daughter Marilyn McConnell (Darryl), son Melvyn (Anne) and their children and grandchildren. Violet was predeceased by her first husband Lanly; her son Leonard; brothers, Albert and Stanley; sisters, Olga and Gladys. The family would like to extend a warm and heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and support staff in Unit 61 and the I.C.U. at the Rockyview Hospital, and the Emergency Department at the Foothills Hospital, for their kindness and care.
