Jackson, Viola N. EAST GREENBUSH Viola N. Ziemlak Jackson, age 92 years, of East Greenbush, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2010. She was born in North Adams, Mass. and had been a resident of East Greenbush for 40 years. Mrs. Jackson was employed for Albany Felt Company and retired from NYS Department of Criminal Justice. Her biggest joy was cooking, Cape Cod and her grandchildren and family. Viola was an active member of the United Methodist Church in East Greenbush as a greeter and organizer of the coffee hour at the church. Wife of the late Thomas C. Jackson Sr. Mother of Sandra (Stephen) Bauch of Kinderhook, Linda (the late Thomas) Derkowski of Averill Park, Patricia (Ed) Alund of Nassau and the late Thomas C. Jackson Jr.; grandmother of Kris, Paul, Pete, Phillip, Daniel, Melissa and her beloved grandson Justin; great-grandmother of Shawn, Calan, Sophia, Meadow and Jacob. Also survived by two brothers, one sister, several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer, Thursday morning at 10:00.
