Viola Kathryn (Reckart) Johnson left this life from Ozark Mountain Regional Healthcare Center in Crane, Missouri, October 2, 2005. She was born December 6, 1916, in St. Louis to Anna and John Reckart. She then married Vernon Johnson in 1934 in St. Louis and became a homemaker. They moved to the Ozarks in 1973 and remained active members of the community since that time. Viola was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Nixa, Missouri. Her parents, husband, and two daughters, Harriet Watkins and Lucille Gutermuth, preceded her in death. She is survived by five children and their spouses, Gerald and Madeline Johnson, Hawaii Eileen and Charles Dalton, Nixa Janet and Ted Siebert, Springfield Vivian and Carl Duncan, Springfield Donald and Sonja Johnson 24 grandchildren numerous great-grandchildren and a great-greatgrandchild. Services will be held October 8, 2005, at 10 a.m. in the Calvary Baptist Church in Nixa with Pastor Carl Curtis officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Nixa, Missouri.
