MORRISON, Victor Beloved husband of Dorothy, passed away peacefully at the Olds Hospital, December 13, 2012, at the age of 93. Vic was born November 8, 1919, in Delia, Alberta, and grew up in Olds. He served with the Calgary Tank Regiment in World War II in England, Italy, France, and Holland and was away for four and a half years. Following his return from the war, he married Dorothy Hickman and to this union was blessed four children – Vicki, Jimmy, Leslie, and Brenda. Dot and Vic owned and operated Morrison Meats for 25 years. Vic was actively involved in the community. He served on the Olds Town Council and in various capacities at the Royal Canadian Legion including President and on the Board of Directors. His hobbies were many. He loved to garden and enjoyed hockey, golf, and curling. Vic is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of 67 years and his daughters, Vicki, Leslie (Larry), Brenda (Gerry), one brother Murray (Georgina), sister-in-law Anne, and numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Paula, Alexa (Kayle), Amy (Rob), Calvin (Monique), Kristen, Elyse, five great-grandchildren, and his devoted caregiver Linny. Vic was predeceased by his son Jimmy, grandson Graham, and brothers Embert and Jack. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to a charity of your choice. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 8, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Olds United Church with Harold Hunter officiating.
