Obituary of Vicki-Lee King


KING Vicki Lee King, 50, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, sister and friend passed away June 14, 2008. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida on July 13, 1957. She graduated from Fletcher High School in 1975. Vicki was very active at Normandy Park Baptist Church for over 18 years. She taught the 2 year old bible fellowship class and assisted in Kids Junction (Children's Church). She was a key member of the Vacation Bible School Program and as a member of the cooking team that provided supper for Wednesday night church programs. She had a passion for helping others and loved at the children. Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Jean Moats. Vicki was a devoted wife of over 27 years to David K. King who cherished the ground she walked on. She is also survived by her sons, Timothy Adam King ( Amanda) with their son Brodie and Christopher Alan King (Lisa) and their son, Austin. Vicki loved being with her family, and enjoyed every minute spent with her grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Michele Paglia, Brenda Townsend, Belinda Abrams, and Stephanie Moore. Vicki is also survived by mother in law, Nina King, 4 brother in laws, 1 sister in law and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She will forever be remembered, loved and missed by all those whose lives she touched. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 until 8:00p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11:00a.m. Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Normandy Park Baptist Church with Brother Troy Dixon officiating. Procession and interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park, Jacksonville. Flowers will be graciously accepted; however, you may make memorial contribution to the Children's Ministry at Normandy Park Baptist Church.
