JOHNSON Verna L. "Cookie," 59 was born in Camden, SC. She resided in Paterson, NJ most of her life. She departed this life March 19, 2010. Verna was educated in the Paterson school system. Upon graduating she enrolled in The Taylor Institute of Business, she briefly served in The U.S. Army. She received a degree from The Essex Community College and was employed as an office manager for the Passaic Color and Chemical Co. for 27 years. She was a member of The New A.M.E. Zion Church Paterson, NJ. She was predeceased by her parents: Arthur and Martha Johnson, two sisters: Brenda Johnson and Jeryl Hill. She is survived by her son: Demetrius Johnson, brothers: Arthur R. Johnson, Jr., Kenneth and Darryl Johnson. Two granddaughters: Demetria Johnson and Bianca Leary, fiance: Clint Reed, a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and neighbors.
