JOHNSON, VERNA C., 72, of Louisville, passed away at her home on Sunday, July 29, 2012. She is preceded in death by her son, John Douglas Maye. Verna is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Robert L. Johnson; children, George Maye, Connie Maye, James Maye, Wayne Maye, Florence Maye and Eric Maye; four siblings; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at noon Thursday, August 2, 2012 in the Chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road.
