Cullman<!--Cullman-->Funeral for Verla Mae Hyatt, 82, of Cullman will be today, Aug. 19, 2008, at 1 p.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Vernon Willis and Samuel Tucker officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery No. 2. Mrs. Hyatt, who died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, at her residence, was born June 4, 1926, in Cullman County to John Thomas Tucker and Nola Bell Tucker. She was a seamstress. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Hyatt; and sister, Edith Burgess. She is survived by one son, Alvin Hoyt (Jerri) Hyatt Jr.; two daughters, Joyce (Tony) West and Wanda Hyatt; two brothers, Jack (Athelene) Tucker and J.T. (Imogene) Tucker; two sisters, Evylene (Archie) Millican and Helen (Chic) Andrews; seven grandchildren, Katie (Bo) Shirey, Bradley Hyatt, Barton Hyatt, David (Karen) West, Keith West, Patrick (Tammy) West and Ben McSwain; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
