Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel for Vera Mae Preston Davis, 69, of Gadsden, who passed away December 31, 2013. The Rev. Danny Sprayberry will officiate. Burial will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. She was a special friend to many.She was preceded in death by her late husband, Melvin C. Preston; son, Gordon C.
